the circle of life
I just can't seem to fall asleep tonight
But maybe I don't want to
I have too many words in my head
I can't just let them fly away in my slumber
I must give them a more permanent place to dwell
I must save them
Keep them alive
For I know they will surely live longer than I
Maybe even forever
Inscribed in my mind
While I die
And born into the Spring flowers
Whose seeds the birds will eat
And the birds the people eat
And then my words will be rebirthed
Into another human soul
Who will likely add his own
And then his words will die with him
And live through the Spring flowers
The singing birds
And find themselves a new home
A new person whose mind to distract
Another person kept awake far past
The rising of the moon
