Jealousy makes monsters, sure,
Jealousy looks blue;
But I was simply never told
That it appears maroon.



Maroon, a color so close to red:
The worldwide stain of love,
Maroon; just a shade away
From the color mentioned above.





Red

Red will take you on a date;
Romance you, trust in false fate.
Red will feel like taking flight
And everything will seem just right.




Maroon

Maroon will make you contemplate,
Wonder if you came too late;
Maroon will keep you up at night
And make it hard to see a light

Yet Red has made me understand:
These two colors come hand in hand.
