Free Fall

Looking up.

The sky.

So vast and blue.

I pause breathing deep.

Closing my eyes I jump.

Eyes flying open joy envelops me.

The sky soars at me.

All around fire begins to burn.

The fire dies as clouds of ice rip past.

The ice stabs me as land grows.

Explosive impact.

I groan as I stand.

First to try.

First to live.

Always to remembered.
