Saying Goodbye
I don’t want you to go, Dad.
I don’t want Pain to visit you, but
I don’t want you to leave me,
I don’t want to take care of you.
You’re the one that is supposed to take care of me.
I’m not selfish, mean or despiteful, I’m solemn
Your sickness tells me that there is not much time left, but
I’m not ready.
I don’t want to look at that morose death bed.
I cannot fathom facing reality without you.
You are my father, my mentor, and my best friend.
So I need to do all that I can now
Before its time to say goodbye.
