In my mind I see you
In my dreams you’re there;
More than a whisper but less than simple words.
Your name, a reminder of the unspoken things we say.
Your face is a picture always in my thoughts,
Your touch has become muscle memory to my skin.
I lay awake under the cover of these warm sheets;
Eyes wide open.
The time left is short
Soon to be just a memory in your madness
A still small voice in the chaos of your mind.
What of us then? What are we destined to be?
More than a song,
but so much less than a perfect melody
Blue against green, they make their own color.
A brand new color for a brand new kind of world;
Our world, broken and refined.
Over and over again in plays in our minds,
Each time more and more defined,
but less and less of the reality they make it
It’s a whisper, a reminder, a picture, a color
Its him, Its me
It’s memory.
