When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile.

I’ve wanted to grow up
to one day wear pearls and heels
and play with momma’s lipstick.

I’ve wanted to grow up
to wear a tie and a tux
and drive a car like poppa’s.

I’ve wanted a boyfriend
to tell me I look beautiful when I’m in rags
and to sweep me off my feet each day.

I’ve wanted to get married
and have the most beautiful babies
to follow in my footsteps.

I now stand in front of a house
that I’ve missed so much.

Many, many memories.
Now, all I want is to go back to those days
and start all over.

First few stanzas, great! Ending, written well but can be improved. Also, the beginning starts with, "I've wanted to grow up." Wouldn't that mean that she hasn't grown up yet? If so, it would contradict the ending, where she says those are only memories.
