"We love the things we love for what they are." - Robert Frost

To blame someone else
is not to be blameless.
None of us are free.
God spoke of blameless ones-
the ones to be saved.
Where are they now?
The innocent sheep
must have strayed.
Whats left is the back-washed dregs,
the nephilim which Noah
overlooked as stowaways.

When the sheep are brought to slaughter,
who's to blame?
As much as this degradation appalls us,
it all remains the same.
What's to say of change
when it's promised?
I have learned that promise
to swiftly be broken.

Seasons recycle,
morals flip
the right thing is colored
in an unsightly shade of gray.
What of the ones to be saved?
No one will be saved.
Blamelessness is a form of denial,
and there's no one here worth saving.

The author's comments:
Nephilim in the bible were the wicked men that were born from women who had immoral relations with fallen angels. The were destroyed when the flood came and wiped them all out.
