a fire that burns

a fire that begs

souls to return

the fire is running

the fire is free

and the fire is calling

burn for birds

so birds can fly

slipping up

into the sky

into the cracks

beneath the clouds

that singe the outskirts

of the crowds

that follow only

what they know

and resist the burning

urge to grow

the flames rush forth

with an urgent desire

they jump they climb

a wall of fire

you empty bodies

burn like fires

you’re tongues are slow

your brains are liars

believe the heat

that shakes your core

pay attention

feed it more

it is your armor

it brings you passion

never let the ice cover your soul and make you forget what you could be.
