with hot sand on my feet
sprinting to the water to

to bonfires
with cousins
listening to music of
waves
in the backround
with the smell of
fire and
burnt marshmallow

to family time
with tons of food
and the screen room
filled with the noise
of laughter
and chatty
relatives

to movie nights
in the tv room
with conversations
interrupting the flow
of the movie
and the room that
holds us
all together

to crappy reception
cell phones lined
up on the window
sill just to get a
few texts

to the chill
days and the time
to relax
having no
worries
just to be
