Something hot
Something cold

It fills up my stomach
And makes me smile

It is amazing
A true sensation

A real inspiration
To my pen on paper

The meat so tender and soft,
Against my braces

Made with love
From my dear grandmother, and mother

Whenever I hear “beef stew”
My ears perk up, like a cat awaiting tuna

I rush to the table,
Eager to grab a bowl

I always fill it until it’s full
And always stop by for a second dish.

Beef stew,
A truly delicious dish
