The Cost Of Happiness

You say “Hey”
And I think someday
Maybe we'll be together
But you know nothing lasts forever

We are not the perfect pair
To say this I dare:
Goodbye, so long
These words are not wrong

Painful? Sure
So happy we were
So young and so pure
Though life just gets harder to endure

A day becomes a week
It's happiness I seek
Months turn to years
I've run dry of the tears

I fear I have lost
My soul, but thats the cost
Of a brief little moment
Off my heart was sent

Handed to you
And some other few
Who promised me too
That they won't leave, but they do
And once again I must pay
In every single way
The price for the precedent of sadness
The cost of happiness...
