Gray, melancholy, cloudy skies fill the atmosphere
The brisk air bites my nose
Dead leaves crunch under my feet step my step
A blanket of frost covers the crisp grass
The wind whirs and whistles into the night
The trees wave swaying back and forth
Saying their last goodbyes to autumn
Animals gather food for migration
Light drops of rain dance gracefully to the ground
The scent of burning firewood is fresh in the air
It seems like warmth is a million miles away
A mirror of ice is frozen on the pavement
The taste of mint hot chocolate melts inside my mouth
Animals scurry to avoid the enemy of the cold weather
The sight of fresh pine trees being cut and decorated
Everything stands still awaiting winter’s late arrival
All nature lays barren and the color fades to gray
As the transient changing of the seasons arrives.
