Rose Bush
The outside layer blood red,
Filled with beauty, but secretive.
Tempting, drawing you in.
The scent is so radiant,
Like a sweet melodic bed,
Made of petals, nice and soft.
But be warned,
The insides are full of thorns,
Ready to prick and stab and poke.
Makes you wonder,
How did the petals get stained red?
