The Note
I wrote a note to you, and then
stuffed it into my pocket
the fire was burning, but
I couldn't let it go
you meant everything to me, I
was never good enough for you
but i always tried, I wanted
you to be impressed with me
nothing I did ever made you proud, or brought a smile to your face
I felt so lost and confused
and alone
I will never forget the time
you walked out,let the door slam
and I never saw you again, and
you didn't even say goodbye
but daddy, I'm trying, trying,
to forgive you
