Two Verandas

In one world of mine there resides
Two parallel worlds just besides
Each other.
In my house, I view them both
Strikingly contrasting each other afloat.

On the left side veranda: the animate sunny sight,
The world of interminable dots left and right.
A congested road where each car, person, shop, tree
Carries its own story in this robotic spree.
Programmed, mindless yet mindful
And here my mind thinks:
Imagining you walking on the boulevard,
Overlooking the world I search really hard.
For your crazy, worldly, involved self,
The passion with which you delve.
Laughing, complimenting, teasing
In one world of mine there resides
Two parallel worlds just besides
Each other.

On the right side veranda: the peaceful immutable view,
The sparkling sand shadowed in a palm tree queue.
The refreshing smell of coconuts, the breeze,
The gargantuan sea, each ripple a crease.
Inviting, grasping yet unpromising
And here it reminds me:
Of your caressing warm handshake,
The truth in your eyes never fake.
A softer side making every moment count,
Your smile that reads me inside out.
Attracting, caring, mesmerizing

Daydreaming you stepping in my living room,
My mind racing
Anxious for which side you shall reveal
Which veranda you pick?
Which love shall embellish
My world?
