All in a day's thoughts
A harsh wake up, stomach's churning,
anxieties lingering at a moment's notice.
Reality hits and the day begins,
with my head in the clouds, and some bitter winds.
My mind wanders far and wide,
as I lay there dreaming with open eyes.
Dreaming of fears, of my anxieties,
dreaming of pleasures, and joyful fantasies.
A whirlpool of thoughts, all coming and going
a great deal of such that can be overwhelming.
Never the less, though it may be a lot,
it's undeniable, and I'll always bear these thoughts.
Everything starts to settle as the day comes to an end,
as the light from the sun, so blissful, begins to fade
And as darkness engulfs the earth like a shade
lingering thoughts and feelings are laid to rest once again.
