Unknown Tears
He elevated above the cloud
As she huddled together on the ground
He thought, hopefully, she would be fine
Knowing that it was his time
But she was not aware of his ghostly hope
And wonders how he would cope
He longingly, desperately attempted to say
That he was not doomed; that he was okay
She never received the worried assurance
For all she could do was think of the disturbance
That plagued him with sickness and took his life
To raise his soul and leave his wife
His unknown tears would be shed
But no one sees the tears of the dead
