Disregard your deep desires vacant as they come,
As all the strength that you once held quickly comes undone.

Don't expect that I can sit in delicate eras of our past,
And that the beauty of a time once shared is all we need to last.

Here I lay today and rest upon a bed of roses
And the silence of our chaos leads to the truth that it exposes

Simply just a step from you makes me question where I've been
If this happiness is all it seems, or perhaps a gilded sin.

The fact you make me doubt the ground I walk on,
When no one else could stir this steady floor.
When my feet for once are content where they are standing,
You persist to make me buckle like before.

Yet happiness is anywhere you find it,
And I'm stronger than the girl upon our past.
So you can hold your loneliness as silence
And I'll begin to shed this game of ours at last.

Yet I can't dismiss a figure that's before me.
So Phantom, please retreat just like before.
Slip into cold comfort of the darkness,
And remember us in times considered pure.
