The Thing I'd Do..
The things I’d do..
I’d walk a thousand miles in cold and rain just to get to you
because just the thought of you is what keeps me warm inside
and after I’d gamble everything like I have nothing to lose
because being with you makes me feel like I have nothing but luck
and when I can’t help but sing to the world
about how you are like a diamond with an untouchable and never fading sparkle
and the room full of disbelievers just look at me and cackle
I remind them they don’t know about half the things I’d do
I would even turn all our sweetest moments into a screenplay
just so the two of us can go on the greatest trip ever
and not to Hawaii or any place with glamour
but by simply watching over how I fell for you
but there is one thing I’d ask of you
I’d get you to write down every moment of heartbreak and letdown in pencil
and have you sit and there watch me erase it all
just so you can see that I’m nothing close to unfit for you
you made me feel like what I thought was impossible
and silly feelings of happiness intoxicate my body, and flood my mind
when I think of the pretty picture me and you can develop into
so for someone who makes me feel this way
what is there I wouldn’t do?
