Kivu Remembrances
Nature’s boon smiles here by the lake
Rays adorn blades of green with shining splendor
Diamonds of heaven sparkle on the silky blue
Placid ripples sound rhythmically through the night
As lanky birds silhouette the evening azure
Tender whispers reach me
Are they from the water or the wind
A flute births the dawn by spilling paint
And angles mop heaven’s floor to a cerulean
Trickle, trickle I hear the laps even when I am gone
Oh, yes, I know the genesis of the whispers
i know the whisperer
