14 to a zero
voluptuous curves, to exposed rib bones
Grace Kelly, to Paris Hilton
Audrey Hepburn, to Kim Kardashian
Beauty has become a circus act
The days are gone, when our imaginations were allowed to run wild,
because skin tight jeans, and revealing crop tops are what's in style
Beauty has become a necessity of life
It now lies in the slice of your plastic surgeons knife

The author's comments:
What inspired this poem were the beautiful women in my life. These beautiful women who are actually quite unaware of their beauty, as they are too caught up in wanting to look like the sickly thin models on magazines and TV. I want everyone who reads this to realize that we should bring the idea of beauty back to what it was, which didn't involve an operating table.
