Playing Pretend
Is the real you too much to ask for?
Because whatever I see in the hallways isn’t it.
You walk around with a limp
Trying to be an old school “pimp”
But honey your whiter then the moon.
When your friends aren’t around you are pure,
You are kind,
You are gentle,
You are still.
All I want is to see that side of you every day.
I don’t want to have to remind myself why I love you,
And why you deserve my heart nest to yours.
So, I ask
Is the real you too much to ask for?
