"you can close your eyes to everything you do not want to see, but you can not close you heart to things you do not want to feel"

The flowers sent hangs in the air
The mother cries
She comes down the alter
In her gown of white

He does not wait for her when she reaches the end
And the guest are dressed all in black
The tears are not those of happiness

The song plays the same
The flowers smell the same
The tears have not changed

He does not wait for her
And that is what kills her

The funeral of her heart proceeds

How close it was to a happily ever after
If only he had awaited her
And he made all the difference

In the death of that love

The author's comments:
how closely is happily ever after to the heart break? no matter what she does it is only he and he makes all the diffrence in the world.

That's sad, but nice. It reminded me of the song "Just a Dream" by Carrie Underwood.
It's just my opinion that you shouldn't blatantly say that it's a funeral; the reader can infer that much, so i don't think you need that line about the funeral of her heart - maybe the "procession of my heart" or something? Just a thought :)
