Her features shine cartoonish
Dear Charlie Brown,
Please
This is painful
And I just Can't take it any more
At least try to explain
What is so special
About the little red haired girl?
Is she really so exceptionally beautiful?
Is it her hair?
Flaming red
like embers burning bright
Or more subdued
Like a crayola crayon?
Or does she possess some other
Exceptional feature?
Her eyes are only dots of ink
Her features shine cartoonish
Oh Charlie Brown
She's only a drawing
Is she really worth all your heartache?
And Charlie Brown
Maybe she's not the magnificent girl
You make her out to be
Judging by little things
Like the bite marks on a pencil
Or the smile on a face
But then again
I suppose I'm not one to judge
After all
Who doesn't have a little red haired girl?
Even me
sincerely,
A concerned friend
