I dug my grave
And I lie here
Wish, waiting, and wondering:
If I were sober….
Wishing;
To turn the clock back.
Never accepting my down fall
If I were sober…
Never accepting
That canned poison
Slithering down my throat.
If I were sober…
Waiting;
For my eternal rest
With no regret.
If I were sober….
I get the feeling of immortality.
Nothing can touch me.
But would I get that feeling
If I were sober…
Wondering;
Would I have jumped
If I were sober?
