If you love life why bother to die?

I’m sick
I cannot go to school today, said little Peggy
Ann McKay
My tongue has bumps like red cherries
My thumb is like a blueberry
My eyes suddenly turned bright red
My body as stiff as stale bread
My teeth shattered like a bottle
When I tried to walk I waddled
My poor stomach turned like butter
When I tried to talk I mutter
What’s that? What’s that you say? You say today is Saturday? G’bye I’m going out to play…
Poet,
