Good Things

Forget about the object things,
The metal things we never use,
The screens we stare at,
The things we surround ourselves in,
Go back to the stories around the campfire,
The trees we would climb,
The children we were,
The songs we sang,
Adventures we had,
The Good Things.

The author's comments:
I hate how electronics can be so distracting from the important things in life. What really inspired me was that I visited a kindergarten class in a wealthy community and every single kid has their own ipod, phone, or ipad! Now that's just unbelievable. It's sad, but very true.
