She walks silent through the throng
With their gossip swimming to her ears
Words thrown together
A muddled mess of assumption
They all spout lies, vicious and cruel
All to ease the pain of their own guilty minds
Hissing and howling on of scandel
Pointing clawed fingers anywhere but themselves
Animals hungry for innocence
Ready to gnaw and tare at the first sign of good
It is a sin to be naive in their company
For they twist it and make it as calloused as them
Any light is disposed of in a vile manner
Never making its mark
