Reflections of a GIrl
When she sees her reflection
she doesn’t just see hips, butt and thighs
To her that’s a disguise
She’s a person who loves people
Friendly as many say
But seems to be in situations
Where she’s in an altercation almost everyday
However, she’s very bright
And shines like the sun
She has a passion to sing, dance and write
Waiting for the day when she’s in the lime light
Ages past and the day is yet to arise
Wishing on a stars
With her big brown almond-shaped eyes
The reflection reveals pain
The heart that belongs to her has been chewed up and spit out
By the ones she’s care for the most.
She paints a smile on her face as if the pain never took place.
Believing there’s something special about everyone with the advice to
“Live, Laugh and Learn”
This girl has the fear that pain will wrap her around her
Hold her captive; unable to break free
THIS REFLECTION BELONGS TO ME
