Empty-ness

I am an empty shell
No feelings, no tears
Only echoes of pain & depression
My heart is felled with scars
And the reality of loneliness

My heart cries for love, but nothing replies
The urge to fell this hole in my heart is over-whelming

Promises broken, tears falling
What more can one heart take ?
Knowing that the one you love deeply and emotionally is no longer here.

Reality is that your alone forever sucks the life right out of you
Leaving you empty and lost
Confused and hurt

All you can do is hope for something better.
But the fact is it could never happen.
So the empty-ness is never filled, just empty

I made this poem for my mother, she lost the only person that she really cared about and she wanted me to write about empty-ness.
