I Write because
October 6, 2011
there is a voice within
longing to be heard
I need a vent for all that
my heart yearns
like a bird trapped in it a cage
wanting to soar and flap its wings
I write in the hope that those who dare
may listen to what I have to say
and they are all free to judge
I will take it good or bad
it matters not if I don’t rhyme
as well as those whose words do shine
just let me write my thoughts in here
and let me breath freedom's air
