Wasted Potential
I am from doing no homework to
acing every math and science test.
I am from “wasted potential”, or
“you can do so much better”
I am from throwing that 108 laced ball, day until night
from being outside whether its raining or not
I am from quitting out on everything
from sprained knees and severe concussions.
I am from learning to reformat a hard drive to
jailbreaking an iPod and iPhone
I am from hating it when someone asks for help to
eventually not being able to help anyone at all.
I am from being top of the class in middle school to
having one of the lowest GPA’s in my year.
I am from being there for my friends to
ignoring their calls and texts.
I am from many hopeful things
being able to do anything I could want in life,
to wasting this potential, not being able to make the correct choices
I am from listening to others say how much I can do,
all I can say is I don’t know.
