Yesterday I thought of you,
and the great times that we had.
Yesterday i thought of you,
Before things went bad.
You hid your pain from me,
I didn’t even know.
Yesterday I thought of you,
Of why you had to go.
Yesterday I cried for you,
Remembering better days.
You made my days better by just saying “Hey!”.
I shall never forget you,
If you never forget me.
I’ll see you one day,
When I’m called home by He.
I’ll see you at the gates,
Of pearl and white.
And we’ll walk in the garden,
To see Christ’s great light.
Yesterday I thought of you.
