The Streets Remember Me

September 2, 2011

Oh look! Look at that!
The trail I've left behind me!
I've trodden footsteps into London's streets.

Now the pavement will remember me...
And the road will...
And the buildings.

They'll remember my presence
and remember my name.

Look.
Look.
LOOK AT ME!

the character narrating this poem is an old homeless man.
he remains unnoticed,
and his speech isn't heard.
