This old house is empty
Its personality gone
The women who inhabited it have both moved on

This old house
Will never be the same
But our memories within it
Will always remain

I sat down and wrote this piece as we were cleaning out my great-grandmother's house in preparation for my cousins to move in and I decided to submit it to Teen Ink.
