Your Eyes

Those blue eyes of yours,
Sparkle like the ocean;

Like they speak to me,
In my sleep at every moment;

They arise desire and hope,
In the toughest of days,
They help me cope;

As mesmerizing as breaking dawn,
As lovely as the twilight;

They brighten my day,
But I lose my sight;

Beautiful is what you'd call them,
I don't think I deserve them;

But still that desire of mine,
It kills me every time,
You look into my eyes...

The author's comments:
I wrote this when I was 11, This was inspired by my favorite movie. This was my first poetry and has always been an inspiration to me.
