Drink the Poison
I watch you slowly drink the poison.
We’re all watching you drink the poison.
Everyone’s yelling and screaming at you
Trying to save you,
To get you to stop.
But you refuse,
Because you want to drink it,
Need to.
Even though you know it’ll kill you.
I told you what it will do to you,
And you told me you know,
But that you still want to anyway.
So I’m standing here besides you now
Supporting you.
Not because I want you to drink the poison,
But because I know you will,
And I can’t stop you.
So I want to be there for you,
And support you.
I just don’t want you to be alone.
I know you need me,
So I’m here for you
Always,
Even if it means
Being here for you
And watching you die.
