Live every day like it's your last.

Gay. It used to mean happy.
Now, it’s so blurred it’s not fair.
Lost, to the winds of hatred.
To be gay is a sin or a curse.
Judgment is no fair cause.

Why do they judge them?
Why should they care?
They don’t have to live that life.
It’s not their business anyway.
Doors are closed for a reason.

Yet society still feels in charge.
Society still has the last say.
Who has a right to be happy?
Not the gays, though that is their namesake.

What does happy mean anymore?
Does happiness even exist anymore?
No. Society has destroyed it.
It has raised hope with false images.
Now, no one is happy.
Society said they aren’t so they’re not.

Who gave society the right to decide who's allowed to be happy and who's not? What happened to equal rights and freedom of expression? Why do people still hide and lie and live in fear in a place that's supposed to be built on freedom? Why do people continue to judge? Let people live in peace. Let them be happy. Let them love. If they're happy, why should their choices matter to you?
