And That is Dangerous

His hair, his name, his voice, his smile,
means more to her than her own well-being.
Every text and every call, every time he ‘likes’ her status,
makes her feel loved.
And that is dangerous.
A glance here and there
A mutual friend!
Perhaps this can go somewhere- eventually.
But eventually always turns into NOW
And soon they are caught in a whirlwind romance:
sweaty hands and that first kiss (in the drama room of all places)
The attention from friends and the five hour phone calls.
Soon months pass by and they are no longer awkward with each other
They have even become best friends- with the plus side of
kissing and the “couples-discount” when bringing snacks to parties.
They complete each other,
And that is dangerous.
