“I write only because
There is a voice within me
That will not be still.”
-Sylvia Plath

I sit on the porch

And listen

To the symphony of the night

Blazing through my ears.

My skin is porcelain colored

Under the silky moonlight

And my heart doesn’t know

What to think now

I try to guide it

With a gentle hand towards

Safety

But it won’t follow me

I wish he knew

How the moon looks different

When I think of him

Before I drift off to sleep

Wow. I loved the porcelain/silky moonlight part. Vivid imagery. I love this poem as well. No critiques, no things to fix. Loved it, once again. Would you look at two of mine? :)
