Fear of Letting Go

No one is ever willing to let go of the icy cliff of life.
They fear what lies at the bottom of the cliff.
They fear giant monsters,
or a huge black hole,
both willing to swallow them up.
They fear a raging sea
or a deadly tornado,
both destroying everything they live for.
But most of all they fear the past.
Memories and happiness
Making the life that is the icy cliff a little harder to let go of.
