Favorite Quote:
"and then the disciples returned, saying 'impossible! The Lord, our God has risen!"

I used to hide in the shadows
I used to shed endless tears
I used to loathe myself
Day after day, year after year.

I used to hug my knees
I used to bury my face
I used to look in the mirror
And wish i was someone to chase.

I used to have a fear of life
I used give up
Now I'm appreciating the air I breathe
Now I'm back in reality.

And every time I remember your smile,
I think back to all our joy
And the times we laughed and played
I'll never forget you; even after the longest while.

The author's comments:
I've learned a lot about life in the past year or so and I hope this poem inspires you to look at life differently. Stop hiding from reality, face it; enjoy it, hate it, crave it, but don't hide from reality. Because it is the most beautiful gift that life has to offer.
