I ask god the day i was told why were you taken from us
when god told me his answer i knew not to question it
i knew that i had to have faith
it was the day before my birthday and in midst of my joy i couldn't get your face out of my mind
its like your image was burned in my eyelids, so i saw you everytime i blinked or slept.
i barely ate, slept, smiled, and didn't care about nothing knowing you're gone.
for the first time in my life i felt like my heart was stolen right out of my chest. i was angry, hurt, and felt like getting reckless but the thought of you said stop and think would he want me to act like this

but now thanks to god and the loved ones we call family i am learning to cope.
