"Some days you're the statue. Some days you're the pigeon."

Anger,
Red hot and boiling over
Whenever I talk to you.
See your face

Eyes,
Icy blue and hard
As another harsh word
Comes passing through your smirking lips

Hate,
Black as coal
I feel it in every sentence
Every syllable

Bruises,
Throbbing and purple
Cover my very soul
As a reminder of you

Tears,
Salty and clear
Threaten to escape
But I refuse to let you have the satisfaction

Hello fellow writers! Ok, so this is my first poem on this site. I wrote it after an unpleasant encounter with someone that...let's just say isn't my favorite person. Please let me know what you think!
