Alone

I’m alone.
No one to give me advice;
Trusting no one that comes into the light
Hiding in the shadows, feeling the cold embrace of pain

I’m alone.
Never having a chance to understand real love
Falling into the same cracks as I restart the path
Having no hands to guide my way

I’m alone.
The walk to greatness is colder
Making the worse mistakes possible
Slipping quickly into the dark abyss of forever

I’m alone.
I push away hope to block out emotions
I wander down this dark path blinded by
the tears I shed for being alone

I wrote this piece after going through so troubles in my life. This poem came from me feeling like I was really alone and would have to endure going through life always being blind-sided.
