Nightmare.

I amazingly gaze at the now ending twilight.
Sitting, I wait for the glistening stars.
Shivering, I feel the blown wind upon my backbone.
Light-weighted, I float, slightly falling from the endless sky.
Out of no where, I stop.
I listen to the dead silence as it drives me insane.
Turning away,
I fall into a darkened blacked hole, running away from them.
Darkness surrounds me,
They whisper my name.
“Don’t run away,
Just give into the pain.”

My frantic eyes search for an escape,
But there’s much more to come.
Defenseless by this fear,
Soon I’ll be blinded by these cascading tears.

Evil closes in like a vice,
Lost souls on the side.
Whispers in my ear,
Flaming fire everywhere.
Trying to address me,
I remain a solid statue, frozen.
“I’ll save you from the daring danger,
I’ll save you from the deceitful truth.”

My valued life flashed before my opened eyes,
Everything I worked for is gone,
Fallen, I shall not see the guiding light rise in the end.

Searching for blessed truth,
My wandering eyes open.
Sweating and tearing,
My breath is perturbed.
Running from her bedroom,
My loving mother appears…
“Don’t go back to sleep,” I whispered to myself.
Don’t fall asleep. Don’t die.
