let the rain sing you a lullaby,

listen to its truths.

the pitter patter of epic tales,

of brave, heroic youth.

open up your soul, my dear

let in the melodies,

for here, where sky meets wind and sea,

lie earth’s own legacies.

The author's comments:
I was sitting in my sunroom, surrounded by blankets and enveloped by my maroon papasan chair. It was storming outside, and the rain hitting the tin roof of the sunroom inspired me
