My River

My life is a river.
Full of changing currents, raging rapids and sudden twists.
In the beginning my river was a trickle,
Just beginning.
But slowly it began to grow,
I was now a steady stream.
Then I hit hard rapids.
Death Loss Depression.
How can a little stream possibly overcome such hardships?
But slowly other streams merge with me.
Friendship, Family, Love,
Light.
Some come and go,
But others, the true, stay.
My stream grows into a small river,
Overcoming all the rapids.
I continue to grow,
Forever and always.
