just Fine
Its that time of year
The pack are all packed
We're flying with no fear
With Dramamine that last time we lacked.
We touched down at quarter past five
Just in time to see the sun set
Sit and watch the sun dive
Rushing to dinner but no need to fret.
Drinks are poured the evening begins
The conversation starts pleasant but then again
Havoc sets in , but we all put on a fake grin
We all have learned to deal with these certain men.
Yells. Words sting.
Sudden harshness breaks out
Like ice on my bare neck,
Unexpected and uncomfortable.
We wait patiently till it falls into a deep slumber,
And all sleep easy knowing that the evening is over.
The next morning it arises like nothing did happen,
Like a memory loss victim with scars to remind him.
We go along with his forgetful mind,
Eat a decent breakfast and have a good time.
More pleasant memories then all the bad combine,
Cause deep down inside we know everything will be
Just Fine.
