If you believe in what you are doing, then let nothing stand in your way. The best work of the world has been done against seeming impossibilities.

Red is death by chocolate,
Red is pretty.
Women with red sweaters.
Red is driving me crazy.
Red are roses,
and twilight with a hint
of summer.
Red is what you get,
when someone dies in vein.
Horrible but beautiful.
Roses in the road.
Red is joy,
when a child is born,
and held in it's mother's arms.
Red is lace.
Red are cherries,
and saving lives,
and what it takes
to be amazing.

In this poem, I wasn't just thinking of things that were actually red. Like emotions and images. This poem was one of my first too.
